Welcome to the website of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church! We are a loving parish located in Kerrville, Texas in the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It is hard to visit us and not see gentle deer grazing in the land along the road.
Our parish is a member of the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word, which is also part of the Anglican Church in North America, ACNA. Our Bishop is The Rt. Rev. Julian Dobbs. We are served locally by our rector, The Rev. John Onstott, and The Rev. Deacon Herman Roark.
St. Michael parishioners are a group of Christians who love God and each other. We come together on Sunday mornings at 10:00 to worship, to learn and to be brought together by sharing at our Lord’s Table. The 1928 Prayer Book and 2019 Anglican Book of Common Prayer serve as the guide for our beautiful liturgy that moves us all forward to being one with Christ as we share in His body and blood. The preaching is evangelical and intended to bring applicable lessons we can use in our everyday lives.
Each Sunday, after the Holy Eucharist, we join together for refreshments and conversation, sharing the joys and challenges of our world with one another. We believe that it is important to be connected with our brothers and sisters in Christ by creating community. Humor brings laughter that speaks of happy people who love serving the Lord. One Sunday each month we hold a pot-luck luncheon after the service and share in the bounty God has provided, while sampling the expertise of great cooks!
We are a praying church, believing that God hears all prayers. It is through prayer that we communicate with Him and Him with us. Healing prayers are offered at the communion rail each Sunday as well as birthday and anniversary blessings being a part of each Sunday’s announcement time. This is all part of the pastoral care that we offer to all in need, regardless of their situation. If you are in need of prayer, absolution or simple conversation please let Deacon Herman or one of our parishioners know. You don’t have to be a member of St. Michael and All Angels to be cared for, because you are a child of God.
We hope you’ll accept this invitation to visit us and experience our love, compassion and genuine care, as you join us in worshiping the triune God. You and your family are always welcome. We would be honored to have you join us.
In the meantime, explore our site; learn more about our parish, who we are and what we believe. You will find, as we have, that God’s Grace is more than sufficient to meet all our needs. We pray that God’s Holy Angels will be with you and watch over you always.
May God bless you and those for whom you pray and those you love.
The Rev. John Onstott, Rector
