Thursday I was very pleased to attend my first Kerrville Ministerial Alliance lunch at Billy Gene’s restaurant. The clergy were very friendly and the Vice President asked me to give the final blessing, which I was honored to do. I met the Hospice Chaplain who sees Margaret. I also met the minister where two of my former parishioners from Church of the Holy Faith in Santa Fe go when they are in Kerrville. It’s a small world. Everyone was very nice and made me feel welcome. I have invitations to visit some of their churches and look forward to it. They were glad to meet the “new” rector at St. Michael.

I was proud to represent our parish and look forward to next month’s meeting.

A big Thank You to President Kristy  Vandenberg (pictured below) for both sponsoring and inducting me into The Rotary Club of Kerrville on her last day in Office. I’m proud to be a member of this dynamic and friendly club. This is my fourth Rotary Club, serving as past president of the Santa Fe Rotary Club. They’ve all been great but I think I’ve saved the best for last!

What a great way to get to learn about my new hometown and serve our community!

A big “thank you” to the Welcome Lady, Kristin Mudry, of the Kerr County Greeters! She brought the gracious welcome basket pictured below and spent quite a long time acclimating me to my new home, Kerrville. I’m so grateful for her valuable time and suggestions.

Can you pick out your priest?
